Raid reports
In short
Each raid gets a report that lists every account, the invite it used and what Bastion did. The owner or a trusted person can kick, ban or unban everyone in it at once. Reports are free and kept for 30 days.
What a report holds
- When the raid started and ended, and what set it off.
- Every account that joined while the alert lasted, up to 500.
- For each account: its ID, its name at the time, when it was made, whether it had a profile picture, the invite it used, the signs it showed and what Bastion did.
- The invites the raid came through, and who made them.
Open them in the dashboard under Records, Raid reports. The raid alert in your log channel has a button that opens the report directly. Reports are deleted after 30 days.
Act on a whole raid
A report lists everyone who joined while the raid was going on. Some of them may be real members who arrived at the wrong moment. So a cleanup has two sizes.
- The accounts Bastion flagged. The ones it acted on, tried to act on, or would have acted on in test mode. This is what the buttons and
/raid cleanupdo unless you say otherwise. The owner and trusted people can use it. - Everyone who joined during the raid. Only the server's owner on Discord can choose this. Bastion says how many of those accounts it did not flag before you confirm.
At the bottom of a report are kick, ban and unban buttons for each size. Each one asks first and tells you how many accounts it covers. Unban is there for false alarms. If the raid was alert only, Bastion flagged nobody, so the first set of buttons is unavailable and the page says why.
/raid last
Shows the most recent raid, its ID and a link to the full report. Needs Manage Server.
/raid cleanup
Kicks, bans or unbans the accounts Bastion flagged in one raid. Set scope to everyone who joined to cover the whole report, which only the server owner can do. It asks you to confirm and states the count.
Example
/raid cleanup id:6520f0c1a2b3c4d5e6f70812 action:unbanCarefulOnly the server owner and trusted people can act on a whole raid. Bastion checks every account again before it acts and never touches the owner, trusted people, staff, bots or anyone who rejoined after the raid ended.
Which invite did they use?
Discord doesn't say which invite a new member used. Bastion remembers how often each invite has been used and looks at which number went up. You'll see it in join logs, join gate entries and raid reports.
- Bastion needs the Manage Server permission for this. Without it, invites show as unknown and everything else works as before.
- Your custom link shows as Custom link.
- If two invites went up at the same moment, Bastion says it could not tell. It never guesses.
Delete the invite the raid came through
Switch this on under Anti-Raid. When at least 3 raid accounts used one invite, and that invite brought in most of the raid, Bastion deletes it. Your custom link is never deleted. It's off by default.
More signs of a raid
| Sign | What it looks for | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Accounts made in one batch | Accounts created close together. Choose within a day, within a month, or adaptive, which allows an hour for new accounts and up to a month for old ones. | On, within a day, 4 accounts |
| Look-alike names | Usernames that are near copies: the same apart from the numbers, or sharing a long start or end. | On, 5 accounts |
| No profile picture | During a raid, also act on accounts with no picture. | Off |
Look-alike names need at least 8 characters in common, or 5 letters when only the numbers differ. Fifteen people joining for an event with ordinary names don't set it off.
Make everyone verify during a raid
With this on, everyone who joins while the alert lasts has to pass verification, even if verification is normally off or only for suspicious accounts. It goes back to normal when the alert ends. You need a verification channel and role set up first.
Is any of this Pro?
No. Raid reports, invite tracking, the extra signs and the cleanup buttons are all free.
Can a moderator ban a whole raid?
No. Only the owner and trusted people can. Moderators can read the report with /raid last if they have Manage Server.
What does Let in by staff mean?
Someone used /allow or the button under a join gate entry for that account, so the raid action skipped it once. See Join Gate.
