Discord anti-nuke bot
FreeA Discord anti-nuke bot that stops the damage early
Bastion counts damaging actions like deleting channels, deleting roles and banning lots of people. If one person does too many in a minute, Bastion takes their powers away on the spot and tells you.
Stops: Mass deletes, mass bans and rogue bots.
How it works
- Step 1
It watches who does what
Discord keeps a record of every channel delete, role delete, ban and kick. Bastion reads that record as it happens.
- Step 2
It counts per person, by the minute and by the hour
Deleting one channel is normal. 3 channel deletes, 3 role deletes or 5 bans from one person in a minute isn't. Neither is 8 channel deletes or 16 bans in an hour, which catches someone going slowly on purpose. Bans and kicks a moderator makes with Bastion's own commands are counted too.
- Step 3
It adds up mixed attacks
Every action also has points. Deleting a channel is 25, deleting a role is 25 and a ban is 20. Reach 100 points in ten minutes and Bastion steps in, even though no single limit was reached. Two channel deletes and two role deletes are enough.
- Step 4
It removes their powers and tells you
The person is quarantined: every role is taken away and saved, so it's easy to undo. A bot that goes over a limit is kicked. Your log channel gets a message with who, what and why.
Numbers shown are the defaults on the Balanced level.
What you can change
You don't have to change anything. If you want to, here are the settings and what each one starts as.
Each limit
Channel deletes and creates, role deletes and creates, bans, kicks, webhook creates and deletes, and emoji deletes. Each has two numbers: 1 to 60 a minute, and 1 to 500 an hour. Or switch it off.
Starts as: 3 channel deletes a minute, 8 an hour
Mixed attacks
The attack score. Points for each kind of action, from 0 to 100. They add up across kinds, and 100 points in ten minutes sets off Anti-Nuke.
Starts as: 25 points for deleting a channel
Punishment
Quarantine, kick or ban.
Starts as: Quarantine
Block dangerous permissions
Undoes anyone adding a powerful permission to a role, creating a role that already has one, or giving such a role to another member.
Starts as: On
Block dangerous channel permissions
Undoes anyone handing out a powerful permission through one channel's own settings, such as Manage Webhooks for @everyone.
Starts as: On
Keep quarantined people quarantined
If someone frees a quarantined member by hand, Bastion quarantines the member again and stops whoever did it. You choose who else may release people.
Starts as: On
Protect the custom invite link
Punishes anyone but the owner or a trusted person who changes your custom invite link.
Starts as: On
Catch mass prunes
Treats a prune of 5 or more members as an attack.
Starts as: On
Panic mode
When a nuke is detected, locks channels, takes powers off staff roles, pauses Bastion's moderation commands and recreates deleted roles and channels from your last backup. Everything is put back after 15 minutes. Pro.
Starts as: Off
Test mode
Anti-Nuke decides as normal and does nothing. It says what it would have done and keeps a record for 30 days. Your security score drops while it is on, because nothing is being stopped.
Starts as: Off
Ask the owner
When someone is quarantined, the owner gets buttons to release them, keep them held, kick or ban.
Starts as: On
Owner recovery key
A key the owner keeps somewhere safe. If the owner's Discord account is lost, someone they gave it to can become the owner in Bastion after a 48 hour wait that the owner and trusted people can cancel.
Starts as: Not set
